Set Theatre – Kilkenny, Ireland
One of only two David Collins designed spaces in Ireland, The Set is a luxurious theatre and live music venue in Kilkenny. In addition to crafting the venue’s bars, seating and stage areas, we took a central project management role in the delivery of this complex project, combining high levels of finish with the technical requirements for a live music venue.
Early 20th century stage glamour
Every detail of this award-winning space exudes the spectacle of early 20th century stage glamour. A rich palette of materials including horse hair panelling, natural oak, polished brass, deep-red Pyrolave, and bespoke lightwork combine to create an intimate and social performance space. The luxurious, vintage theatre setting is enhanced by the Juliette window above the stage, and the rolling library feature with brass detail in the back bar.
